A small area of low pressure will track across Ontario, Canada, and will have some impact on our weather today.

There should be plenty of sunshine throughout the morning. Fair weather clouds will bubble up and may become numerous at times in the afternoon. Some periods may be more cloudy than not.

A stray shower cannot be ruled out, either. This will be most likely in the mid to late afternoon. Most areas will not see rain, and those that do will see only brief, light showers.

The bigger impact from this system will be the wind. Southeast winds in the morning will turn to the south and southwest as they increase. The strongest winds will come from the late morning through the mid afternoon, with speeds over 15 mph and gusts around or over 40 mph.

The south winds will blow warmer air into the area. Highs will top out in the mid 60s this afternoon.

Skies will clear out this evening as winds briefly turn to the northwest. Before midnight, winds will turn back to the southwest with speeds around 5 mph.

Cooler air will start to work in anyway, with evening temperatures falling through the 40s on their way to an overnight low in the mid 30s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Sunday: Sunny with a few fair weather clouds. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.

Monday: Rain showers likely. Morning lows near 40. Afternoon highs in the low 50s.

Tuesday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the low 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 40s.

Wednesday: Sun and clouds. Some late showers, possibly with a few higher elevation snowflakes mixing in at night. Morning lows in the low 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 40s.
