A weak area of low pressure along the Mid-Atlantic coast will continue to try to overtake a large, strong high pressure system with minimal results today.

One thing the low will be good at today is providing clouds. Much of the day will be rather cloudy, though some breaks of sun are also expected from time to time.

Showers will be hard to come by, though. Only a few spits of rain here or there are expected. These should not even be enough to be measurable for most areas.

South-southeast winds will increase today with speeds around 10 mph. Top gusts will be around 25 mph.

It will remain mild, with temperatures reaching into the upper 60s to around 70 degrees. This is about fifteen degrees above average for late October.

Clouds and southerly winds will continue this evening and overnight. A few more spits of rain will also be possible.

Evening temperatures will remain near 60 degrees with a slow drop overnight into the mid 50s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Wednesday: Clouds, some sun, and a slightly better chance for a few showers. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the upper 60s.

Thursday: Morning clouds. Afternoon sun. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.

Friday: Sun and thin clouds. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.

Saturday: Mostly sunny. Morning lows in the low and mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.
