More details on the UTV accident in Cortlandville

New York State Police (NYSP) provided further details on the utility-terrain vehicle (UTV) that rolled over off Hobart Hill Road in the town of Cortlandville.

According to NYSP’s report, the accident occurred early Sunday afternoon. Two people were traveling in a UTV when it “tipped on a graded hill.” The passenger, a 10-year old male, had his leg trapped underneath the rolled over UTV, the report noted.

The UTV was lifted off the child and was transported to a larger field by Cortlandville Fire Department’s UTV. He was transported to a helicopter and flown to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse with minor injuries, the report noted.
