High pressure will build into the region today, kicking off another stretch of dry, sunny, and warm weather.

Some early clouds and fog will be possible before they quickly burn off. Sunshine should take over and become dominant by the mid to late morning hours. The afternoon will then have clear, blue skies.

A light north wind behind yesterday’s low pressure system will remain in place. Wind speeds will only be around 5 mph, but that will be enough to knock temperatures down a couple of degrees.

Afternoon highs should be around or just above 60 degrees. The hilltops in the northern part of the county have the best shot at remaining in the upper 50s.

Tonight, skies will remain clear, but winds will swing around to the south. That should prevent it from getting too cold.

Evening temperatures will fall into the mid 40s. Overnight lows will end up around 40 degrees.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Thursday: Mostly sunny. Morning lows around 40 degrees. Afternoon highs in the mid 60s.

Friday: Mostly sunny. A few thin clouds. Morning lows in the low 40s. Afternoon highs in the mid 60s.

Saturday: Sun and thin clouds. Morning lows in the upper 40s. Afternoon highs in the upper 60s.

Sunday: Clouds and sun. Maybe a stray shower. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the upper 60s.
