High pressure off to the east will continue to deliver sunshine and warm weather today.

Unlike yesterday, there will be some thin clouds in the area today. The clouds should not prevent much sunlight from reaching the surface, though. The best chance for some thicker clouds that will filter the sun will be late in the afternoon.

No rain will fall from any of these clouds.

A steady south wind will blow on the backside of the high. Wind speeds today will be around 10 mph with gusts just over 20 mph.

The sunshine and south winds will continue to push temperatures up. Highs this afternoon will top out in the mid 60s, which is about fifteen degrees above average.

Clouds and winds will remain in place tonight, keeping temperatures warm. Evening temperatures will fall only to the mid 50s and should remain steady through the overnight.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Saturday: Sunshine becoming increasingly filtered by clouds. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs near 70.

Sunday: Scattered showers, especially early. Some afternoon sun. Morning lows in the upper 50s. Afternoon highs in the upper 60s.

Monday: Mostly sunny. Morning lows in the low 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 60s.

Tuesday: Sunny with a few clouds. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.
