High pressure will continue to build in to our west, delivering sunny skies but also a shot of cool air.

A few thin clouds will be possible in the very early morning hours as the cooler air pushes in on a wind shift. These clouds will move out quickly, leaving blue, sunny skies for the rest of the day.

North winds will set up with speeds around 10 mph. Top gusts should be near or under 25 mph.

These winds will be surprisingly effective at bringing in cold air. After the recent warm weather, today’s highs in the mid and upper 40s will be a bit of a shock, even though they are pretty close to average for this time of the year.

Skies will remain clear and moon-lit tonight and wind speeds will drop. Temperatures will quickly fall into the 30s around sunset. Overnight lows will mainly end up in the mid 20s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Wednesday: Mostly sunny. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.

Thursday: Sunny with a few clouds. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs near 60.

Friday: Increasing clouds with rain possible late. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs in the low 60s.

Saturday: Morning rain ending. Some late sun possible. Morning lows in the low 50s. Midday highs near 60 with falling temperatures thereafter.
