High pressure continues to hold control of our weather but is starting to shift to the east.

Cold temperatures this morning will rebound steadily thanks to sunny skies and a developing south wind. The wind will blow at under 10 mph with gusts to 20 mph.

Few, if any clouds are expected in the sky today, and of course precipitation will be unheard of.

Afternoon highs will work their way back above average and into the mid 50s.

Skies will remain clear tonight, but the south wind will increase. Wind speeds will be around 10 mph, but higher in the higher elevations of the northern part of the county. Gusts in those hills could approach 30 mph overnight.

Temperatures will drop to the upper 30s this evening and may make it to the mid 30s overnight. The wind should prevent it from getting any colder, and temperatures may even rise slightly before dawn.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Thursday: Sunny with some late clouds. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs near 60.

Friday: Rain likely, especially in the afternoon. The rain could be heavy and accompanied by gusty winds. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs in the low 60s.

Saturday: Breezy. Clouds, some sun, and a few scattered showers. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Midday highs near 50 with falling temperatures thereafter.

Sunday: Clouds, some sun, and a few snow showers. Morning lows in the upper 20s. Afternoon highs in the upper 30s.
