Cortland County COVID-19 Wrap-Up for Saturday, Nov. 19

Here is a breakdown of recent COVID-19 numbers in Cortland County. It is based on recorded information from the Cortland County Health Department and the New York State Department of Health.

The county health department reported on Friday that the level of COVID-19 transmission in the county is low. Since last Saturday, there have been over 40 positive cases, one new death and close to five individuals hospitalized.

As of Nov. 17, there have been 12,826 total positive cases, 814 hospitalizations and 131 deaths in the county. According to the state, the current daily average of positive tests among county residents is 5.3%. The weekly average of cases per 100K is 12.8.

The recent percentage of county residents fully vaccinated that are 5 years-or-older is 60.9%. Additional numbers show that 60.1% of county residents are fully vaccinated with a booster shot.
