High pressure over the Mid-Atlantic will nose its way into being the primary influence on our weather today. However, a small low pressure moving across southeastern Canada will also play a small role.

Between these two systems, south and southwest winds will be present today. The winds will become blustery, but not quite as strong as yesterday. Wind speeds will be just under 15 mph and gusts will top out around 30 mph.

Unlike the biting cold winds of yesterday, these winds will bring in some warmer air. High temperatures this afternoon should make it into the mid and upper 30s.

Some clouds associated with the low will try to move in but will battle with the high for control of the sky. As such, there should be some periods of clouds today and other periods of sun. Clouds are more favorable in the morning and sun in the afternoon.

Tonight, skies will remain mixed. A subtle front will pass through as the low moves east, possibly touching off a few flurries. Overnight lows will make it down into the mid 20s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Tuesday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs around 40.

Wednesday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the mid 40s.

Thursday: Some morning sun. Then turning cloudy. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the mid 40s.

Friday: Precipitation likely, but type still uncertain. Rain is currently favored, though. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs around 40.
