Cortland County COVID-19 Wrap-Up for Tuesday, Nov. 22

Here is a breakdown of COVID-19 numbers in Cortland County from the past week. It is based on recorded information from the Cortland County Health Department and the New York State Department of Health.

The Center for Disease Control (CDC) reported recently the level of COVID-19 transmission in the county is low. For the week of Nov. 14-20, there were 26 positive cases, three hospital admissions (two currently hospitalized) and no deaths.

As of Nov. 20, there have been 12,831 total positive cases, 815 hospitalizations and 130 deaths in the county. According to the state’s current COVID-19 tracker, the 7-day average for percentage who test positive and cases per 100K is 3.5% and 7.8, respectively.

The recent percentage of county residents fully vaccinated is 60.9%, and 60.1% of residents are fully vaccinated with a booster shot.
