Local law enforcement agencies will participate in the STOP-DWI Thanksgiving High Visibility Engagement Campaign this week.

The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office and the City of Cortland Police Department will be involved in the campaign, which will go from today to Sunday. The campaign aims to further reduce the incidence of drunk and impairing driving.

The campaign is one of many statewide initiatives promoted by STOP-DWI New York and Governor Kathy Hochul’s traffic safety committee. The campaign will also target the rest of the holiday season, and the upcoming Super Bowl weekend and St. Patrick’s Day.
