An incoming weather system will bring clouds and mild temperatures into the area today.

The clouds will arrive during the mid to late morning hours after a sunny start to the day. The clouds may still allow some sunshine to filter through, as they will be somewhat thin and high in the atmosphere.

This afternoon, the clouds may break up some, allowing varying amounts of sunlight through.

Steady south winds will blow at around or just over 5 mph. These winds will overcome the limited sunshine and push temperatures into the upper 40s or even near 50 degrees.

The wind will increase this evening as clouds thicken. Wind speeds will approach 10 mph, helping hold temperatures in the mid 30s overnight.

Rain will begin to move in during the predawn hours. A few snowflakes may mix in at times, but no accumulation or travel issues are expected.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Friday: Periods of rain, especially in the morning. Some blustery northwest winds in the afternoon. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 40s.

Saturday: Sunny with a few clouds. Morning lows in the low 30s. Afternoon highs in the upper 40s.

Sunday: Rain likely, along with blustery winds. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 40s.

Monday: An early rain and/or snow shower. Afternoon sun. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the upper 30s.
