A bubble of high pressure between two weather systems will bring a pleasant day to the region.

A few lingering lake effect clouds will be possible early this morning, but they should quickly move out and dissipate.

The rest of the day should be sun-filled with bright, blue skies. Clouds will eventually move in after sunset and will become thick overnight ahead of tomorrow’s weather maker.

Southwest winds will blow throughout the day with speeds slightly over 5 mph. Top gusts will only be around 20 mph. The wind will stay steady into the evening and overnight hours.

The southwest winds will pump warmer air into the region. The sunshine will help the atmosphere tap into this warmth with efficient surface heating. Afternoon highs will end up in the upper 40s and low 50s.

Temperatures will cool quickly this evening but will not drop too low. Evening temperatures will be near or just under 40 degrees. Overnight lows will make it to the mid and low 30s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Sunday: Showers, especially in the late morning and afternoon. Some breezy winds. Morning lows in the mid and low 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 40s.

Monday: Scattered rain and snow showers. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the upper 30s.

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy. Morning lows in the upper 20s. Afternoon highs in the low 40s.

Wednesday: Windy with rain. Morning lows in the low 30s. Afternoon highs in the low 50s.
