Moisture left behind by yesterday’s low pressure system will keep skies cloudy and some precipitation in the air today.

Precipitation will be most plentiful through the mid-morning hours. Snow showers may mix with rain at times, but no accumulation is expected.

The rain and snow showers will gradually diminish through the latter half of the morning and into the afternoon. A few spits of rain or snow will continue to be possible here and there.

The best chance for a little sun to poke through will be in the mid to late afternoon.

A few lingering flurries will continue to be possible in the evening before dissipating overnight.

The overcast skies will be joined by steady northwest winds at around 10 mph. Gusts may reach 25 mph, especially this morning.

Between the cloud and the winds, temperatures will only add a handful of degrees from this morning with highs around 40 degrees. Temperatures tonight will drop into the low and mid 30s, with overnight lows in the mid 20s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the low 40s.

Wednesday: Windy with rain. Morning lows in the low 30s. Afternoon highs around 50.

Thursday: Windy. A few snow showers. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the mid 30s.

Friday: Mostly cloudy, but dry and not as windy. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the upper 30s.
