Today will be a quiet day, but clouds will remain plentiful.

The best chance for sunshine and some blue sky will be early this morning. The window will be brief, though, as a deck of overcast should arrive by the mid to late morning.

These new clouds may be thin enough at times to allow some filtered sunlight through. Other times, it will be just another grey day. No precipitation is expected from any of the clouds at least.

A light south wind will blow throughout the day. Wind speeds will be around or just over 5 mph with gusts well under 20 mph.

The south winds will help nudge temperatures upward, despite the lack of sunshine. Look for highs in the low 40s this afternoon.

After sunset, the south winds will gradually start to increase. After midnight, wind speeds will be at or above 10 mph and gusts will be at or above 30 mph. The strongest winds will be over the higher elevations in the northern half of the county.

Temperatures will initially drop into the mid 30s during the evening. However, as the winds increase, temperatures will hold steady overnight.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Wednesday: Windy with rain. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the upper 40s.

Thursday: Windy. A few snow showers. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the mid 30s.

Friday: Mostly cloudy, but dry and not as windy. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the upper 30s.

Saturday: Perhaps some showers. Winds picking up again. Morning lows in the low 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 40s.
