A weak area of high pressure over the Ohio River Valley will do its part to keep our weather quiet today.

The morning will have a mix of sun and clouds. At times, the cloud may become widespread and thick. But the clouds should not last too long, and by the afternoon, skies should turn sunny.

No rain or snow is expected from any of the clouds, except perhaps a very early stray flurry.

Winds will be lighter today, starting from the northwest but turning to the southwest. Wind speeds will be near or just over 5 mph. Morning gusts may approach 20 mph, but afternoon gusts will be lower.

Temperatures will not be overly warm, with highs in the mid 30s. A few of the higher elevations may stick to the low 30s.

Tonight, skies will clear, allowing temperatures to fall quickly into the 20s. The southwest winds should prevent it from getting too cold, however, with lows in the mid 20s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Monday: More clouds than sun. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs near 40.

Tuesday: Rain showers, possibly starting with a little snow. Morning lows in the low 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 40s.

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy with some rain showers. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the upper 40s.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy. A few spits of rain. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 40s.
