Dreary weather will hold on for much of today before some dry air begins to work into the area late.

A northwesterly flow will bring in moisture off Lake Ontario. This will keep clouds thick with spits of drizzle and the occasional shower.

Wind speeds will be between 5-10 mph with gusts around 20 mph.

Snow is not expected due to warm clouds that will be unable to produce snow crystals.

The drizzle will gradually diminish this afternoon and a little sun may break through the overcast before it sets. Skies will turn partly cloudy, and a times mostly clear, after sunset.

Temperatures will not move much today, only rising about five degrees to a high around or just under 40 degrees. Tonight, temperatures will drop into the upper 20s with overnight lows in the mid and low 20s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Friday: A mix of sun and mainly thin clouds. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the mid 30s.

Saturday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the low 20s. Afternoon highs near 40.

Sunday: Snow possible, maybe mixing with a little rain. Some accumulation possible, especially in higher terrain. Morning lows near 30. Afternoon highs in the mid 30s.

Monday: Early rain and snow showers. Some late sun. Morning lows near 30. Afternoon highs in the mid 30s.
