McGraw man arrested for second time this month

A village of McGraw man who was arrested for possession of drugs on Dec. 1 was arrested again late last week, according to a Cortland County Sheriff’s Office report.

Chester L. Burdick was arrested on Dec. 1 after he was found to be in possession of eight grams of cocaine, 46 bags of fentanyl, 68 sublingual strips, 19 pills containing buprenorphine, 40 pills of amphetamine, packaging materials, scales and undisclosed amount of money.

On Dec. 8, Burdick was arrested again and charged with third-degree intimidating a victim or witness (a Class-E Felony) that stemmed from the Dec. 1 arrest and investigation.

With now two arrests within a week, Burdick is currently being held at Cortland County Jail without bail. He is scheduled to appear in Cortlandville town court at a later date.

The drugs discovered from Burdick’s Dec. 1 arrest had an estimated street value of around $5,330. Burdick was charged with three counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and two counts of second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia.
