Quiet weather will build in for today with just a few stray snow showers possible.

Skies will be a mixture of clouds and some breaks of sun. West and southwest winds will bring a few stray flurries eastward off Lake Erie, but most of the time it will be dry. No snow accumulation is expected.

Wind speeds will build through the morning and end up around 10 mph for the afternoon. Gusts will be as high as 25 mph.

Afternoon highs will work their way into the low 30s, which is not too far off the climatological average for mid-December.

Tonight, the clouds may break up more, allowing for some periods of mainly clear skies. On the flip side, a passing flurry cannot be totally ruled out, either.

Temperatures will quickly fall through the 20s after sunset and should end up in the mid 10s overnight. Some locally colder pockets will be possible.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Sunday: Sun and clouds. A few flurries. Morning lows in the mid 10s. Afternoon highs near 30.

Monday: More clouds than sun. Scattered snow showers. Some minor accumulations possible. Morning lows in the low 20s. Afternoon highs in the upper 20s.

Tuesday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows near 20. Afternoon highs in the upper 20s.

Wednesday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the mid 10s. Afternoon highs in the upper 20s.
