Local law enforcement agencies will continue to participate in the STOP-DWI holiday season “drive sober or get pulled over” campaign until the end of this weekend.

The holiday season program began in the middle of December and will run until New Year’s Day. The agencies, along with New York State Police and other municipal law enforcement agencies, will be out in full force on the roads in an effort to stop impaired driving, prevent injuries and save lives.

The campaign is one of many statewide initiatives promoted by STOP-DWI New York and Gov. Kathy Hochul’s traffic safety committee. The campaign will also target Super Bowl weekend and St. Patrick’s Day.
