Man charged with DWI following accident

A man was arrested late Monday evening following an accident that resulted in property damage, according to a Cortland County Sheriff’s Office report.

The report stated that county sheriff’s officers responded to the intersection of Kinney Gulf Road and Bond Road in the town of Homer.

Upon arrival, it was discovered that Lucas D. Walley, 20 of the town of Walton, damaged property following a car accident. According to the report, Walley was driving while intoxicated and “traveled off of the roadway.”

Walley was arrested and charged with driving .08 of 1%-or-more of alcohol and a DWI (both misdemeanors), and driving across hazard markings (an infraction). He was arraigned, processed, released and now due to appear in Town of Homer court at a later date.
