A warm front will move through the area today with plenty of rain and some late day warm temperatures.

Rain will start this morning and continue steadily into the afternoon. During the second half of the afternoon, the rain will become increasingly showery. By the evening, only stray showers are expected.

With the rain, skies will remain cloudy, though a few breaks in the clouds will be possible during the evening and overnight.

South and southeast winds will blow today with speeds under 10 mph. The wind may pick up some this evening to around 10 mph with gusts over 25 mph.

Temperatures will be in the 40s much of the day but will rise into the low and mid 50s towards and after sunset.

The warm temperatures will stick around past midnight, but eventually, the front will sag back to the south, and temperatures will drop to the mid 40s by Wednesday morning.

As the front moves back south, scattered rain showers will increase during the predawn hours, followed by more steady rain on Wednesday.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Wednesday: Periods of rain. Temperatures steady in the mid 40s most of the day.

Thursday: Cloudy with occasional rain showers. Morning lows in the upper 30s. Afternoon highs in the low 40s.

Friday: Mostly cloudy with rain and snow showers. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the upper 30s.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy. A few flurries. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the mid 30s.
