The Cortland varsity girls basketball team appeared in the New York State Class B rankings for the second-straight week, rankings put together by the New York State Sportswriters Association.
The Lady Purple Tigers came in at No. 25 in the Class B state rankings. Last week, Cortland was ranked 24th in the state.
The other Section III Class B team state-ranked is General Brown (7-0) at No. 2.
Cortland (7-2) is coming off a 47-29 home victory over rival Jamesville-DeWitt. The Lady Tigers will host Section IV’s Chenango Forks at 12:45 p.m. Saturday.
