Low pressure will bring clouds and some precipitation back into the area today as it drags a cold front through.

The best chance for precipitation will be throughout the mid and late morning hours, possibly lingering into the early afternoon. It should be cold enough that most of what falls will be snow, but some rain could mix in at times.

Locally, a coating of snow accumulation will be possible. No travel issues are expected, though.

Precipitation should taper off for a while this afternoon. A few glimpses of sunshine will even be possible. Temperatures will make it into the mid and upper 30s at this time.

Winds will be from the west and northwest today with speeds just over 5 mph. Top gusts should be near or under 20 mph.

Tonight, some lake effect flurries off Lake Ontario will drift southeast into the area. Accumulations should be limited to a coating to perhaps a localized inch.

Evening temperatures will drop into the low 30s with an overnight low in the upper 20s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Saturday: Mostly cloudy. A few flurries, especially in the morning through the early afternoon. Morning lows in the upper 20s. Afternoon highs in the low and mid 30s.

Sunday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows around 20. Afternoon highs in the mid 30s.

Monday: More sun than clouds. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs near 40.

Tuesday: Gradually increasing and thickening clouds. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the low 40s.
