No major weather makers will impact the area today, but north and northwest winds will keep skies cloudy.

A few lake effect flurries will be possible through the early and mid morning hours, particularly across the northern half of the county. No more than a light dusting of snow is expected.

The rest of the day should be dry, but clouds will remain in place. Sunshine will be limited to a brief glimpse here or there, mainly in the latter part of the afternoon.

Winds will be light with speeds around 5 mph. Northwest winds early will shift to a more northern direction during the afternoon.

Temperatures will be a touch cooler than yesterday with highs in the mid 30s.

Tonight, the wind will continue to rotate clockwise to the northeast, then east. With the winds no longer coming off the Great Lakes, at least some of the clouds should break up.

Evening temperatures will fall into the mid 20s, then hold steady overnight as winds turn to the southeast and increase slightly.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Wednesday: Plenty of clouds. Maybe a late flurry or rain shower. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the upper 30s.

Thursday: Snow showers early, turning to rain showers. Morning lows near 30. Afternoon highs around 40.

Friday: Rain showers, eventually over to snow showers late. Morning lows around 40. Afternoon highs in the mid 40s.

Saturday: Scattered snow showers. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs around 30.
