Cortland girls basketball appears in state rankings for 3rd-straight week

The Cortland varsity girls basketball appeared in the Class B state rankings for the third-straight week, lists generated by the New York State Sportswriters Association.

The Lady Purple Tigers stayed at No. 25 in the Class B state rankings, the second week in a row they’ve been in that spot. The other Section III Class B team ranked is General Brown at No. 2.

Cortland (8-3) is coming off a 59-46 victory over SCAC Empire Division opponent Central Square on Tuesday. The Tigers are scheduled to face Fulton at 6:45 p.m. Friday.
