Quiet weather is expected today as high pressure builds into the region.

Clouds off of Lake Ontario will be common through the morning hours and possibly even into the midday or early afternoon. A stray flurry cannot be ruled out, but for the most part, it will be dry.

The clouds should break up sometime in the midday or early afternoon hours with skies quickly becoming mostly sunny. Clear skies will persist through the afternoon and into the overnight hours.

North-northwest winds will blow at speeds up to 10 mph throughout the day. Top gusts will be just over 20 mph.

Afternoon highs will be close to seasonal averages, topping out in the upper 20s to around 30 degrees. Temperatures will quickly drop this evening beneath the clear skies, entering the 10s within a couple hours of sunset.

Persistent winds will prevent it from getting too cold, though, with overnight lows in the mid 10s.
