A weak weather system will bring light precipitation into the area today, but some of that may cause some slick surfaces.

The early and possibly even mid morning hours are expected to be dry. During the latter half of the morning, precipitation will move in. At first, there may be a little snow, but this will quickly turn over to rain and freezing rain.

The most likely time for icy roads will be from about 10 AM through about 1 PM. After that time, the precipitation is more likely to be rain. Precipitation will also be tapering off to scattered showers. A glaze of ice will be possible.

It will remain cloudy through the afternoon and into the evening and overnight. Occasional rain showers and spits of drizzle will persist. Some localized fog will also be possible.

Temperatures will rise through the 20s and low 30s this morning and early in the afternoon. The mid afternoon should see temperatures reach the mid 30s, then holding steady through the night.

Winds throughout the day and night will be from the south and southwest at around 5 mph.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Wednesday: Cloudy with rain showers in the morning and flurries in the afternoon. Temperatures steady in the mid 30s throughout the day.

Thursday: Breezy. Cloudy with an icy mix in the late morning and early afternoon, turning to steady rain for the late afternoon and evening. Morning around 30. Afternoon highs in the upper 30s.

Friday: Breezy. Scattered snow showers. Morning temperatures in the upper 30s. Afternoon temperatures retreating to the low 30s.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy. Maybe a flurry. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the low 30s.
