Cortland native and SUNY Cortland alum Dan Pitcher and the Cincinnati Bengals won big in Buffalo on Sunday.

The third-seeded Bengals topped the second-seeded Bills by a score of 27-10 in an AFC Divisional Round matchup at Orchard Park.

Pitcher, Cincinnati’s quarterback coach, watched as his star playmaker Joe Burrow completed 23-of-36 passes for 242 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran 31 yards on six carries.

The Bengals will now make their second-straight trip to the AFC championship game, where they will face the top-seeded Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium. The winner of this game moves on to Super Bowl LVII.

Cincinnati and KC met in last year’s AFC Championship game. The Bengals came out victorious at 27-24 in overtime, punching their ticket for Super Bowl LVI in the process.
