Local wrestlers to compete in first-ever state girls invitational (Information Included)

A couple of local female wrestlers are slated to compete in the first-ever New York State girls wrestling invitational this Friday at the SRC Arena at Onondaga Community College.

Homer junior Lilly Sorenson will compete in the 185-pound bracket. She will face Vestal sophomore Keira DeVantier in her opening-round match.

Marathon junior Melodie Sutton (did not attend media day) will go up against grapplers in the 126-pound bracket. She will take on Fulton’s Cassandra Clarke in her opening-round match.
