Marathon wrestlers receive seeds for Section IV Qualifier A Tournament

Seeds for the Marathon varsity wrestling team were recently announced for the Section IV Division II Qualifier A Tournament this Saturday at Tioga Central School District.

(Note: Seeds are subject to change)

Logan Jamison, competing at 285 pounds and sporting a 25-6 record, is the top seed in his bracket. The Olympians senior will look to begin his run for a second-straight appearance at this year’s New York State Division II Tournament in Albany.

At 132 pounds, Marathon’s Brendan Gumaer (24-10) is the second seed in his bracket. Zander Sutton (11-14), also competing in the bracket, is the fourth seed.

Julian Spizzirri (12-14), competing at 172 pounds, is the third seed. Number four seeds for the Olympians include Brittan Keller at 145 (24-9) and Dawson Cole at 189 (13-18).

Fifth seeds for Marathon include Braydon Homer at 138 (23-10) and Anthony Neville at 152 (7-7). Simon Donau (6-19) is the eighth seed in the 102-pound bracket. Dominick Homer (9-17) at 160 and John Root (3-8) at 126 are the ninth seeds in their respective brackets.

The Section IV Division II Qualifier A Tournament on Saturday is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
