Another weak weather system will move through the region today.

Any early breaks of sunshine this morning will quickly be replaced by overcast skies as this system approaches. Clouds will remain thick throughout the day.

Precipitation will not arrive until after 3 PM. When it does, just some scattered, light rain showers are expected. Most areas will see very light rain amounts, and some areas may not see measurable precipitation at all.

Temperatures will be several degrees warmer than yesterday, thanks to some gusty south winds. Highs should flirt with 40 degrees.

The wind will blow at speeds of 10-15 mph, especially during the afternoon. Gusts over higher elevations may eclipse 30 mph.

Clouds and some drizzle will linger this evening with temperatures sliding back to the mid 30s. Winds will gradually lessen and turn to the northwest.

During the overnight, clouds and drizzle will persist. Cloud temperatures will be unfavorable for snowflake growth, so as temperatures drop to the low 30s, some pockets of freezing drizzle will be possible.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Wednesday: Early clouds with some drizzle or a flurry. Increasing sun for the afternoon. Morning lows in the low 30s. Afternoon highs in the low 40s.

Thursday: Cloudy with periods of rain. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon temperatures near 40, rising to the mid 40s during the evening.

Friday: A mix of sun and clouds. Morning lows in the upper 30s. Afternoon highs in the upper 40s.

Saturday: Periods of snow possible. Morning lows in the upper 20s. Afternoon highs in the mid 30s.
