Seeds were recently announced for Homer and Cortland varsity wrestlers at this weekend’s Section III Division II championship tournament at the SRC Arena at Onondaga Community College.
Homer’s Sam Sorenson, sporting a 43-0 record, is the top seed in the 215-pound bracket. The senior is a defending Division II champion.
Hunter Lines (37-9) is the third seed in the 126-pound bracket. Also for the Trojans, Jeffrey Stauber (27-9) is the fourth at 132 pounds, while Maddox Johnson (30-11) is the eighth seed at 189.
Other seeds for Homer include Sean Brown (14-8) as the seventh seed at 285, Dominic Burlingame (25-19) as the 11th seed at 152, Lukas Quinn (25-16) as the 12th seed at 145, and Colin Murphy (23-17) as the 13th seed at 172.
For the Purple Tigers, Wyatt Tinker (31-5) is the third seed in the 152-pound bracket. Avery Canzano (19-6) is the seventh seed at 145, while Asher Tinker (11-17) is the 14th seed.
The tournament on Saturday will promptly begin at 9:15 a.m.
