The second-seeded Cincinnatus varsity girls volleyball team is slated for the Class D semifinal round match against sixth-seeded Sandy Creek at 6 p.m. Wednesday, confirmed by Cincinnatus athletic director Melissia Custer.
The Lions are coming off a sweep of seventh-seeded Manlius Pebble Hill (25-19, 25-22, 25-18) this past Friday. The Comets pulled off an upset in the previous round following a 3-1 win over third-seeded Morrisville-Eaton.
The winner of Wednesday’s semifinal match will face either top-seeded Old Forge or fourth-seeded Fabius-Pompey in the sectional final at noon Saturday at Case Middle School in Watertown.
