Cincinnatus Loses Heartbreaker Against Sandy Creek in Sectional Semifinals (Photos Included)

The second seeded Cincinnatus Lady Lions lost in the Section III Class D semifinals against sixth seeded Sandy Creek after a well fought out match that went down to the wire. 

Sandy Creek was able to beat Cincinnatus in five sets. 

The Lady Lions had a rough start to the match, losing their first two sets. 

However, being down two sets did not stop the Lady Lions’ efforts, as they came back to win the third and fourth set, pushing the match into a decisive fifth set. 

After a fought out battle, Sandy Creek was able to pull the upset by winning the decisive set (9-15).

Cincinnatus was led by Caitlyn St. Germain (17 assists, 24 digs, 6 kills, 2 blocks & 1 ace),  Allyson St.Germain (10 kills, 12 digs, 1 assist & 1 ace), Cassia Schuyler (18 digs, 3 aces & 1 kill), and Kaedence Latta (13 digs, 3 kills & 1 ace). 

Sandy Creek was led by Maiya Hathaway (21 assists, 10 digs, 8 kills, 4 aces & 2 blocks), Elizabeth Glazier (21 digs, 11 kills, 4 blocks & 4 aces), and Phhoenecia Hathway (11 aces, 10 digs, 6 kills & 2 blocks).

With this loss, Cincinnatus ended their season with an overall record of 13-4.
