Here is a breakdown of recent COVID-19 numbers in Cortland County. It is based on recorded information from the Cortland County Health Department and the New York State Department of Health.
The county health department reported recently that the level of COVID-19 transmission in the county is medium.
As of Feb. 16, there have been 13,387 recorded positive cases, over 880 hospitalizations (over 10 currently hospitalized) and 135 deaths in the county. According to the state, the current daily average of positive tests among county residents is 10.1%. The weekly average of cases per 100K is 21.8.
The recent percentage of county residents fully vaccinated that are 5 years-or-older is 61.2%. Additional numbers show that 60.9% of county residents are fully vaccinated with a booster shot.
