Cortland County COVID-19 wrap-up for Wednesday, Feb. 22

Here is a breakdown of recent COVID-19 numbers in Cortland County. It is based on recorded information from the Cortland County Health Department and the New York State Department of Health.

The county health department reported on Tuesday the level of COVID-19 transmission in the county went from low to medium. In the past week there have been close to 90 positive cases and over 10 hospitalizations (10 currently hospitalized), but no new deaths.

As of Monday, there have been 13,432 total positive cases, 899 hospitalizations and 135 deaths in the county. According to the state, the current daily average of positive tests among county residents is 11%. The weekly average of cases per 100K is 24.5.

The recent percentage of county residents fully vaccinated that are 5 years-or-older is 61.3%. Additional numbers show that 60.9% of county residents are fully vaccinated with a booster shot.
