McGraw boys basketball team falls to Madison in sectional quarterfinals

The 6th-seeded McGraw Eagles fell to 3rd-seeded Madison in the Section III Class D quarterfinals with a score of 65-82. 

The Eagles started things off well after ending the first half with a 36-29 lead. 

However, Madison would overcome the deficit by outscoring McGraw by 24 points in the second half to ultimately win the game. 

Here is a score breakdown from last night’s sectional quarterfinal game:

McGraw was led by Gaven Truman (19 points), Caleb Epp (16 points), and Nick Sutton (11 points). 

Madison was led by Ethan Rivers (29 points), Anthony Dodge (24 points), and Jacob Burns (14 points).

With this loss, McGraw ended their season with an overall record of 14-7. 

According to Section III, Madison is now scheduled to play in the semifinal round of the Section III Class D Tournament against 2nd-seeded Hamilton at Onondaga Community College this Saturday (February 25th) at 11am.
