Marathon boys basketball team ends season with tough sectional quarterfinal loss vs. South Kortright

The 7th-seeded Marathon Olympians lost a tough game against 2nd-seeded South Kortright in the quarterfinal round of the Section IV Class D Tournament with a score of 43-65. The loss ends Marathon's season with an official overall record of 10-12. 

South Kortright came into the quarterfinal game after a first round bye. Throughout the game, South Kortright was led by Connor Quarino (28 points), Josh Anderson (15 points), and Troy Dianich (11 points). 

Marathon’s leading scorer was Conor Holland, who netted 23 points for the Olympians.  

South Kortright is now scheduled to play in the semifinal round of the sectional tournament at SUNY Delhi this upcoming Tuesday (February 28th) at 7:30pm against 3rd-seeded Charlotte Valley.
