Cortland County COVID-19 wrap-up for Wednesday, March 1

Here is a breakdown of recent COVID-19 numbers in Cortland County. It is based on recorded information from the Cortland County Health Department and the New York State Department of Health.

The level of COVID-19 transmission in the county is still medium. In the past week there have been 71 reported positive cases and over 10 hospital admissions (13 currently hospitalized), but no new deaths.

As of Monday, there have been 13,508 total positive cases, 906 hospitalizations and 135 deaths in the county. According to the state, the current daily average of positive tests among county residents is 9.6%. The weekly average of cases per 100K is 22.7.

The recent percentage of county residents fully vaccinated that are 5 years-or-older is 61.3%. Additional numbers show that 61% of county residents are fully vaccinated with a booster shot.
