A weak weather system will pass through the area today with some light and brief precipitation.

The precipitation will be most likely during the afternoon hours, and most of it should fall as rain. Some snowflakes or even some graupel may mix in. A few areas could escape with little to no precipitation at all.

With the weather system moving through, skies should remain overcast most of the day. 

Winds will be from the southeast, then south throughout the day. Wind speeds will be as high as 10 mph, and gusts may reach 25 mph.

Temperatures will hold in the 30s this morning, then rise to the low 40s this afternoon. Tonight, temperatures will slowly drop through the mid and low 30s with an overnight low around 30 degrees.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy. Morning lows around 30. Afternoon highs in the upper 30s.

Friday: Wintry mix of heavy snow, sleet, and freezing rain. Morning lows near 20. Afternoon highs in the mid 30s.

Saturday: Rain and snow showers. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the low 40s.

Sunday: Snow showers. Morning lows near 30. Afternoon highs in the low 30s.
