The weather will be quiet today with low chances for precipitation and even some sunshine.

There will be plenty of clouds around today, but the sun should be in and out of the clouds at times. Precipitation chances will be limited to a few stay showers or flurries very early this morning, and possibly a few stray flurries this evening.

No snow accumulation is expected and most areas will probably not see any notable precipitation.

South winds overnight have temperatures off to a relatively mild start. However, winds will turn around to the northwest this morning. By this afternoon, northwest winds will be blowing at near or over 10 mph with gusts flirting with 30 mph.

The winds will keep temperatures in check despite the mild start. Highs will make it to the upper 30s to near 40 degrees. Evening temperatures will quickly fall into the upper 20s, triggering those few lake effect flurries.

By Friday morning, temperatures will be down into the upper 10s and low 20s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Friday: Increasing and thickening clouds. An evening wintry mix of snow, sleet, and rain. Morning lows near 20. Afternoon highs near 40.

Saturday: Some rain showers, ending with a little snow late. Morning lows in the low 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 40s.

Sunday: Morning snow showers. Maybe some late sun. Morning lows in the upper 20s. Afternoon highs in the mid 30s.

Monday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the upper 30s.
