Your Cortland County weather forecast for Wednesday, March 8, 2023:

The weather today will be fairly quiet with lighter winds than yesterday and only a few flurries to contend with.

The best chance for snow showers will be during the morning hours. The snow should gradually diminish this morning and dry conditions are expected for the afternoon.

Additional snow accumulations today will be under an inch.

Cloud will likely remain thick throughout the day. The best chance for a brief glimpse of sunshine will come later in the afternoon.

Northwest winds will continue to blow today, and while they will be a bit breezy, they will not be as gusty as yesterday. Wind speeds will be around 10 mph with gusts of 25 to maybe 30 mph.

Temperatures will remain slightly below the seasonal average with a high in the upper 20s.

Tonight, skies will remain mostly cloudy with steady, but light northwest winds. Temperatures will slide back through the 20s to a low near 20 degrees.

Thursday: Cloudy. Maybe some filtered sunshine. Morning lows near 20.  Afternoon highs in the upper 20s.

Friday: Cloudy. Morning lows in the mid 10s. Afternoon highs in the mid 30s.

Saturday: Some snow possible, mainly light and during the morning. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the mid 30s.

Sunday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the low 10s. Afternoon highs in the upper 30s.
