Latest organization, local government closings and postponements

Below is a list of organizations and local government buildings within Cortland County closed and/or postponed due to Tuesday’s snowstorm. 

This also includes board of education meetings. A list of Tuesday’s school closings are here.

Organizations

  • YWCA Cortland (This includes Here We Grow childcare)
  • CAPCO Head Start/Early Head Start
  • J.M. Murray Center
  • Cortland Child Development Center
  • Lime Hollow Forest preschool
  • Racker preschool in Cortland
  • Family Planning Medical Center in Cortland
  • All Coffee Mania stores closing at noon
  • Tompkins Cortland Community College (scheduled remote classes. Check with instructors on status of classes). 
  • Cortland Free Library closing at noon
  • Phillips Free Library in Homer

Local Government/Board of Education

  • The Homer Board of Education meeting has been moved to virtual only (6:30 p.m. start time)
  • The Cortland Board of Education meeting has been postponed and moved to Tuesday, March 21 (Budget workshop at 5:30 p.m., regular meeting at 6:30 p.m.)
  • Village of Homer: village offices closed and the Board of Trustees has been moved to 6 p.m. March 21
  • Marathon town board meeting moved to this Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
  • Town of Homer: town office, the courts and the assessors office all closed
  • Town of Cortlandville: Raymond G. Thorpe municipal building closed
