A man was arrested recently for driving while intoxicated in the town of Cortlandville, according to a Cortland County Sheriff’s Office report.
The report stated that county sheriff’s officers conducted a traffic stop for Brandon T. Gavitt, 22 of Cortland, for a speeding violation on Pendleton Street in Cortlandville.
It was discovered during the traffic stop that Gavitt was intoxicated.
Gavitt was charged with DWI and driving with .08% or higher of alcohol (both misdemeanors), and for speeding in zone, inadequate muffler and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle (all infractions).
Gavitt was arraigned, processed, released and now due to appear in Cortlandville town court on April 3.
