Homer Little League’s equipment room is getting a new garage door.
The village of Homer town board unanimously approved the donation of a new garage door from Josh Cooley, a member of the Homer Little League (LL).
Cooley will head up the installation and Homer LL will fund the material cost.
Homer LL President Chris Sweeney thanked the board for approving the donation.
“I wanted to take a moment to thank each and everyone of you for your amazing support,” he said. “Little League is a wonderful experience for us. We really appreciate all that the board does for the team and the community.”
Sweeney highlighted the baseball history in the village.
“There is a great baseball history in this community,” he added.
The current door will go on the village’s recreation building. Opening day for Homer LL is May 6.
“This is great and very nice,” said village mayor Hal McCabe.
