Village of Homer’s Amnesty Day to be held in May (Information Included)

The village of Homer announced its Amnesty Day for village residents only is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 13 at the compost site on North Fulton Street.

Roll-offs allowed at the compost site on May 13 are as follows:

  • White goods – including stoves, washers, dryers, hot water heaters and more
  • Metal wastes
  • Lumber or anything made of wood

(Note: Any units that may have contained refrigerant are required to have a certificate of purging on hand during Amnesty Day)

Tree wastes, dirt, cement blocks and bricks can be dropped off at the compost site. Tires, televisions, microwaves, computers, batteries, recyclables or garbage is not allowed.

Identification and proof of residency will be verified by the village of Homer police department on Amnesty Day.
