The village of Homer announced dates for leaf and brush pickup during the spring season.
The village will pick up leaves and branches between May 1 and May 30. If residents choose not to put leaves and branches at the curb during this time, piles can be dropped off at the compost site on North Fulton Street in the village.
The compost site in the village opened at the beginning of April, and will close early winter.
The village is asking residents not to put leaf and branch piles at the curb before May or after May 31. Piles before or after the designated time frame won’t be picked up, and will violate village code.
