Today will be spent in the warm sector of a low pressure system moving through the Great Lakes, resulting in breezy, warm, and at times wet weather.

Skies will be rather cloudy throughout the day, but some breaks of sunshine are expected here and there. Any sunshine will only help temperatures warm further.

The main warming mechanism will be blustery south winds. Wind speeds will be near 15 mph and gusts could be as high as 40 mph, especially over the hilltops.

Temperatures will make it into the upper 60s and low 70s, and even dewpoints will rise as high as 60 degrees.

This will lead to scattered showers and a few thunderstorms throughout the day. Multiple rounds of rain are possible, starting this morning and persisting right through the day and into the early evening.

There is a small chance for some strong thunderstorm winds or small hail, but the greater severe threat should stay to the west.

Temperatures will remain around or above 60 degrees tonight with clouds and the occasional shower. More widespread rain will be possible towards dawn.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Thursday: Mostly cloudy. Morning and midday rain. Morning temperatures in the upper 50s. Afternoon temperatures in the low and mid 50s.

Friday: Clouds and some sun, mostly early and late. Blustery northwest winds. Morning lows in the low 30s. Afternoon highs in the low 40s.

Saturday: Lots of sun and not as windy. Morning lows in the low 20s. Afternoon highs in the mid 40s.

Sunday: Sunny with a few thin clouds. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.
