A warm front will develop over the region today.

This front will bring some clouds and a few scattered showers to the area this morning. Sunshine should increase in the later morning hours, and much of the afternoon should be partly cloudy to mostly clear.

The front itself will not move much today, despite the trend towards sunnier skies. This will result in calm or light and variable winds.

Temperatures will be warmer than they have been this week, but the full force of the warm air will not be felt until tomorrow. Look for highs in the mid and upper 60s this afternoon.

Skies will remain partly cloudy or mostly clear through the evening and overnight hours. The front will start to make some northward progress and a south wind will develop at around 5 mph.

This should help keep temperatures in the low 50s this evening and overnight, though some brief periods may dip into the 40s, especially in the northern part of the county, as the front wobbles around.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Friday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the low 50s. Afternoon highs near or slightly above 80.

Saturday: Breezy and cloudy. Late afternoon or evening rain, possibly heavy. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Sunday: A few rain showers. Not as windy. Morning lows in the low 40s. Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.

Monday: Clouds, some sun, and a few showers. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the upper 40s.
